In some cases, you might encounter a black screen in the editor when trying to capture a window using CANVID. This issue typically occurs when the target window is running with elevated privileges (such as administrator rights), while CANVID itself is not.
Solution: Starting CANVID as Administrator
Close CANVID: Make sure Canvid is not currently running. If it is, close the application.
Run Canvid as Administrator:
Locate the Canvid icon on your desktop.
Right-click on the icon to open the context menu.
Choose “Properties.”
Go to the “Compatibility” tab.
Check the option that says “Run this program as an administrator.”
Click “Apply,” then click “OK” to exit the window.
Restart Canvid:
Double-click the CANVID icon again to start the application.
It should now capture the desired window without any issues.
