Yes, you can choose to record without using the webcam. This option allows your audience to focus on the visual content but including a webcam has its benefits!
You can toggle the webcam on or off directly from the Canvid editor, under the Camera sidebar.

Yes, Canvid supports virtual cameras, but since the virtual cameras usually involve additional processing, desync issues between your webcam and microphone during editing is possible.
